Judging from the response on Jeffrey's blog, I think some of you may think I'm downright old fashioned. But I am truly honoring the archetypal energies of the planets. First, to address the question of context: If you have a Mars ruled Venus, say a Venus in Scorpio or Aries, and you're looking for a soul mate why not try,

-using mindful ntentionality to "put it out there" - mental focus, harnessing desire & kundalini energy, visualization, affirmation and prayer - a powerful Martial activity (which is basically what my whole CD is about!!)
-cultivating your love for adventure, daring, the delicious and juicy erotic side of life within your very being, say developing your interest in tantra or yoga, instead of turning it loose in the bar
-taking a striptease or burlesque class, ie own your erotic energy

Mars is desire, raw desire. You can use that to draw someone toward you, but see again, that's Venus. So there's that inherent conundrum for a Venus-Mars person.

Venus and Mars are opposites, right, so modulating a Martial Venus takes careful integration, no? I'm thinking of a fire dance (see my Venus in Scorpio post), which requires a healthy respect for the sexual fires of passion that can consume the most elegant relational dance (Venus). I'm also thinking of the Venus in Scorpio people I've known who've gone down in flames for coming on too strong. Or the Venus in Aries people who "fall in love " at the drop of a dime without the necessary courtship of "getting to know you"...

How to modulate your Mars? I wonder if that's possible. Give him plenty of exercise, sex and challenges. And so important for women, because the right to "stand up for our self" as opposed by certain cultural institutions, is an ongoing mission.

I know you can be a strong, self-assertive woman who goes after what she wants - heck, I am! But this is about relationship (Venus) not independence (Mars). By understanding how by using your innate magnetism and ability to co-create, by using the feminine principle, how much more elegant, effortless and successful your search for love can be...

I really enjoyed your article, and linked to it from my blog. Someone just commented about how women need to use their Mars in the work world but then are supposed to turn it off in the dating world. Do you have any advice regarding how to modulate one's Mars and Venus in different contexts?
