Yikes, it’s a heart-wrenching, tender week. Life and love just keeps
coming fast and furious, expanding hearts wider and wider, as Venus, planet of love meets Pluto in the last degree of Sagittarius today.
I guess it was about five days ago that I began noticing a distinct energy shift around my heart chakra. The word poignant entered my vocabulary, lodging itself between my brain and heart so that everything passing between had well, poignancy. Yes, everything suddenly developed poignancy potential, an ability to drop me down into despair and raise me up at the same time- like a spiritually expansive and pummeling force of nature, terrifying, beautiful, depressing and hopeful – all at once.

Paris Hilton: 17 February 1981
What on earth could this Hilton heiress socialite have in common with the Aquarians of the world? Well, she’s from planet Uranus, an unpredictable planet best known by Astrologers as the planet of “shock!”
What’s shocking? She’s managed to start a cult of celebrity, folks who are only famous for being well, famous.
Far from a stereotypical revolutionary Aquarian (mind you, no Aquarian is stereotypical) she has caught the public attention in a particularly Aquarian way – technology. Read more

28 December 1981
Sienna Miller has become quite the socialite, tromping around Hollywood in her boho-chic signature style. Did she know she’d start a Capricorn fashion revolution, along with Mary-Kate & Ashley? Like another Cap sister Sun sign, Kate Moss, these Goats leave indelible impressions on the people they meet.
Sienna’s mug had been a source of tabloid fodder since her split from cheating husband Jude Law, which to her dismay has focused on her role as Jude’s estranged on and off-again ex, not her abilities as an actress. Many of the films she’s starred in haven’t reached critical acclaim, but because she’s a Capricorn, it’s probably only a matter of time. Read more

Kate Bosworth: 2 January 1983
Kate’s been criticized by the media for her thinness, but this is also a distinguishing quality of Saturn people who tend to be angular, bony or lanky. But also like Kate, many Capricorn people actually do eat less -resembling the pared or slimming down quality of their sign. They conserve everything, food, energy, resources. If you want to lose weight, just look for a Saturn transit or hang out with a Capricorn!

Jupiter and Saturn are now in earth signs by trine, and this aspect brings expansiveness and levity to grounded, earthy, material activity. From a discussion I had with most insightful astrologer Alex Villamil this weekend about the different ways people respond to Saturn transits, it occurred to me that how good you are at “doing your Saturn” probably arises in equal merit to the luck and benefit you’ll receive from this fortunate planetary aspect – known for it’s planning, deliverance of wealth and diligent responsibility. Saturn related things could quickly slide into place.

Many of us astrologers have a special affinity for Aquarius, and the planet ruling it, Uranus. We live life on the outer limits, like our Aquarian friends. Most of my Aquarian/Uranus-ruled friends are full of surprises, as their edgy energy compels them to do exactly the unexpected thing they were supposed naught to – mainly shake, and wake up, the old order. Funnily, even they surprise themselves with their own aberrant and strange behavior. Appreciably, they have an odd sense of humor, poking fun at their own strange self loosens up the fixed (stubborn) energy that often can quell their cool quirkiness, resulting in stagnant intolerance.
