Every new moon wipes the prior month’s slate clean and Sunday’s new moon at 2’42 Aquarius brings a breath of fresh air. On the heels of the sober, productive, inward plodding along season of Capricorn, the Sun enters Aquarius and the pace of life shifts as restless dissatisfaction with the way things are is the catalyst for the forward-thinking vision we now need. Aquarius is a mentally-oriented air sign, but it’s got associations with water (the water bearer) and just as water conducts electricity, this air sign is more intuitive & volatile than Gemini or Libra. Aquarians/Uranians are like lightning rods, attracting the lightning/disruption needed to bring us out of Capricorn stagnation.

Cancer is the sign traditionally associated with family, home and the past. And whimsy. Yes, whimsy. It’s our best kept secret, perhaps the staying alive secret to surviving the ups and downs of endless family demands to which we Crabs always find our self inextricably tethered and tied. When I am happiest, I am following it, because whimsy is good for the soul.
