Sagittarius New Moon: Culture Shock

Waking up the morning after the election was traumatic for many. It was for us. My husband turned over and said, “the last time I felt this way it was 9/11.” A component of trauma is shock and surprise, along with feelings of powerlessness. [Read more…]

Saturn and Neptune Have a Conversation

The connection between heaven and Earth.

There’s a planetary conversation taking place between Saturn in Sagittarius, Capricorn’s ruling planet, and Neptune in Pisces (square thru September 2016). The promise of this combination is integrating the divine into the ego. The risk of this combination is exaggerated fears and feelings of separation. Molehills can become mountains when we take our fears too seriously, leading us to a macabre picture of believing in a very scary “reality”. To lighten up, let’s listen in on an edifying conversation between the two planets. [Read more…]

Saturn Squares Neptune: Reality is a Convincing Illusion

matrix michael cheval

Saturn in Sagittarius is square Neptune in Pisces through November 2015 (this will be exact at 7 degrees 11/21-30, then again, June 2016 -12 degrees with Saturn and Neptune retrograde, and again, Sept 10 degrees, Neptune retrograde)*.

As Saturn in Sag lines up for a square with Neptune in Pisces this month, there’s a conflict between our spiritual worldview, faith (Pisces) and our core beliefs about life (Sagittarius). As Neptunian glamour and illusion clashes with reality, we witness endless shenanigans (Donald Trump, for instance) and real suffering (the Syrian refugees crisis, etc.) co-existing side-by-side in the world. Life can all but seem surreal. Horrors happen in a corner of the world every day, in our own life, atrocities and suffering sometimes so harsh that we cannot imagine living another day…yet our stomach still grumbles for food, and the beauty of a rainstorm still moves us. Life is an absurdist art piece. How weird. How to make sense of it? Moreso, how can we make sense of the absurd, confounding and suffersome situations in our own life? [Read more…]

Mercury & Neptune Station: Speaking & Knowing

yoga-and-feather-22

I don’t have one voice. I have many voices. Sometimes it is soft, silky and seductive. Other times it is courageously bold. My voice can be wise, with wisdom beyond my years. My voice can be spiritual, moved by the field of connection unifying us all. Or it can be fiercely honest, calling bullshit on me, and on you. I may appear a white woman in her early 40’s but if I were a nineteen years old black man, or if I were in Bruce, nee’ Caitlyn, Jenner’s body, I would still be me. I contain multitudes within me. The multitudes move through me in dialects of moods, tone, emotion. My voice reflects the multi-dimensionality of my human and spiritual experience. [Read more…]

The Neptune Square

fade awayThe first time I tried to write this blog it disappeared. Typical Neptune. I had been writing it within another document and although the other piece remained, Neptune just vanished. Similar experiences have happened with Neptune involved: a married client talks about her ghost lover during a session, and my recording device on my computer times out leaving us with no evidence of the discussion. Neptune absconds with time, too, as if to prove that actions mark time, and that without actions time is made irrelevant; many Neptune transits leave the person experiencing them with a Neptune-induced amnesia — people forget what they did for days, weeks and even years. Books are started and half-finished, romances appear then disappear, houses are swept away by floods… There must be a special place in heaven for those still left wondering, “Whaaatt?” by their Neptune transit. A “Neptune” Lost and Found, a place where people can go and be reunited with lost objects, people, ideas, lives. I hope so.

The Neptune Square is a generational transit. It happens for all of us between the ages 40-42, for approximately a 2 year passage. The Neptune Square introduces itself with a general malaise and fatigue, dis-enchantment if you will, with how things have panned out so far. The timing of this makes sense. Your thirties are a busy time spent striving to make goals and livelihoods happen. Most of us are building a career, relationship and family and all of this takes so much energy, energy we can senselessly spend, and often without stopping to pause or self-introspection, because we do have the energy and determination to forge ahead. Sagittarius Full Moon Lunar Eclipse: Blind Faith

small still voiceIf you’re a sensitive you may be feeling foggy, spacey or tired this week as Friday’s Sagittarius lunar eclipse squares Neptune, the planet of sleep, dreams, spirituality, consciousness, deception and self-undoing. Neptune, like Twelfth House planets, is accompanied by that vague and fuzzy, dazed and confused feeling. If we want to nail down anything, a relationship or health problem, we won’t be able to. We can’t see very far into the future. Nay, we may only barely be able to see the next few feet in front of us. [Read more…]
